Pool Technician Field ToolkitPool Toolkit v8.4.1-rc3 · Report Fix 7 STAGING

Pool inspection • optional sub-inspections • technician calculations & references

🗂️ My Inspections

Keep several facility inspections in progress without restarting your work.

Inspection Information

Set up the property once. Each aquatic body gets its own inspection set.
Start / Resume opens the workflow selected here.

Aquatic Bodies

Inspection paperwork: Classification is recorded for each aquatic body. A single facility can contain multiple classes.
Add every pool, spa, splash pad, or other aquatic venue at this property.

🧪 Water Chemistry

Enter readings once.
Readings automatically populate the applicable chemistry inspection results. This section is optional for report generation, so an incomplete chemistry panel will never lock the report.
Blank values remain Not Tested / Not Recorded. LSI is calculated only when all required LSI inputs are present.

⚙️ Inspection Applicability

Support fields used by the rules engine. These stay off the paperwork front page.

🗂️ My Inspections

Active inspection workspace
Switch between saved facilities, duplicate a facility for a fresh inspection, or archive completed work.

🚻 Sanitary Facilities

What is present at this facility?
Confirm what you find when you reach this area. The app generates only the applicable detailed checks.
Unknown keeps the coverage issue visible in Final Review instead of silently treating the component as absent.

🚪 Barriers & Access

Grouped inspection setup
Add the physical barrier/access assets at the facility. Each asset gets its own set of independently inspectable conditions.
Use Fence / Barrier for the overall enclosure. Add individual Fence Section or Barrier Section only when a distinct area needs separate identification. Requirements are grouped so multiple assets do not create duplicate question blocks.

🛟 Safety & Emergency

Safety asset setup
Add shared emergency and rescue assets once. Their individual requirements will be inspected separately.
Shared devices are inspected once instead of being repeated under every aquatic body.

🛠️ Equipment & Systems

System and equipment inventory
Choose a system, assign the pool or spa it serves, then add the equipment actually present. Suggested starter components are editable and do not automatically mean an item is required by code.
Starter inventories are examples, not required-equipment lists. Filtration starts with a pump, filter, gauges, flow meter, backwash valve, and chemical feed. Remove anything absent at the site; add what is actually installed. Other system types start empty for you to customize.
+ Add shared / unassigned component

For equipment belonging to an existing system, use Add Component inside that system above.

🏗️ Equipment Pad Designer · v8.4.1-rc3

Commercial and residential equipment-pad layout. Draw measured physical layouts, independently arranged flow schematics, and stacked pipe elevations. Add equipment anywhere, then connect explicit ports. On desktop, drag items directly from the palette. Optional preliminary straight-pipe engineering estimates; not a stamped hydraulic design.

Layout & Photo Tools

Not calibrated. Drawings are not automatically to scale.

Photo references are stored locally on this device. Use Complete Pad ZIP or Complete Toolkit Backup to include the original photo. Trace and confirm actual measurements; this drawing is not automatically scaled.

Select a pipe to edit its bend. Tap Add pipe bend, then tap the canvas where the bend should go. Drag the orange bend handles to route the pipe.

Tap a component to select it.

🗺️ Pool & Facility Modeler · v8.3.4

Map the site, aquatic bodies, visible features and proposed/known underground routes. Photo suggestions are experimental and never verify dimensions or buried connections.

Facility
100%

Photos are inputs, not the exported model. Generated site geometry is an editable concept until measured. Hydraulic routes must be explicitly linked.

Photographs & assisted recognition
Measurements and calibration

Enter a measured distance, tap the button, then tap both ends of that span on the drawing. You will see each point marked.

Scale unverified.

Backup & restore

Stored separately for each inspection on this device. Export Site ZIP for a recoverable copy. This does not modify remote jobs or regulatory inspection results.

📋 Inspection Dashboard

Work in any order. Tap a section to jump there, or use Walk Me Through It when you want step-by-step guidance.

🧮 Service Technician Calculations

Independent field calculator.
Use it from the menu or from an inspection item. Results show the math result only; code limits, equipment ratings and manufacturer instructions still control where applicable.
Enter values to calculate.

🧾 Plumbing Material List

Fast field takeoff.
Create one or more pipe groups. Common fittings inherit the pipe size; reducers and reducing bushings let you enter the second size.
Material Summary
No materials added yet.

Equipment Manuals

Save manufacturer PDFs for reference on this device. Search by title, brand, model, or equipment type. Keep original copies for backup.

+ Add equipment manual

📖 Code / Reference Resources

Shared reference library.
Use these resources from inspections, sub-inspections, calculations, and teaching workflows. Credentials are optional and do not gate access to technical information.

🧰 Optional Sub-Inspections

Independent and non-blocking.
These do not affect completion of the primary Pool Inspection. Start one by itself or reuse the current facility information.

📚 Formulas & Field References

Quick field formulas and relationships. Equipment ratings, manufacturer instructions, adopted codes and the AHJ control where applicable.

💾 Toolkit Backup & Recovery

Export an offline copy of inspection records and local toolkit settings. This JSON backup does not include photos, videos, or other IndexedDB media. Export those separately before clearing or replacing a device.

No backup file selected.

Restore replaces local toolkit keys on this browser/device. Export a current backup first. No changes occur until you explicitly confirm. Photos, videos and offline manuals are not restored by this feature.

Complete inspection + media backup (Recovery P2)

Includes supported toolkit local data, pool inspection photos/videos, leak worksheet photos, pad photos, facility-map media, recognition review data, and locally stored equipment manuals. Large video files can produce very large JSON backups. This uses the existing verified Bulk-E recovery engine.

No complete backup selected. This export is separate from the compatible P1 inspection-data-only JSON export above.

Duplicates and existing records block restore, rather than replacing data. For Safari ↔ installed PWA transfers, export in the source app, save the file outside the app, then import in the destination app. A storage-isolated destination must be empty. Browser storage quota and large-file limits vary. Never delete your source backup after importing without verifying records and media.
